Killer Croc Vs Wonder Woman Voting Is Open!

Its Match 10 of round 1. This week its Killer Croc vs Wonder Woman. The poll will close on the 8th of December.

Untitled-1

Here is more information about the fighters:

Killer Croc:

Killer Croc’s backstory explains that he was born with a condition resembling epidermolytic hyperkeratosis, a disfiguring skin disorder. However, it is actually a form of regressive atavism, meaning that he has inherited traits of ancestral species of the human race such as reptiles. This condition has been augmented by the presence of a metagene. Consequently, he has several extraordinary physical abilities relating to his endurance, strength, and speed. His skin is hardened to the degree that it is nearly impenetrable to ordinary forms of abrasion including high caliber weapons fired from a distance. He possesses a degree of super strength; for example, he was able to tear a bank vault door off of its hinges with minimal effort. He has demonstrated regenerative powers allowing him to heal and restore lost limbs and teeth. He possesses superhuman reflexes and speed, especially while he is moving underwater. Killer Croc also has an enhanced sense of smell. Once he has become familiar with a person’s scent he can track them from miles away.

Wonder Woman:

Demeter, the goddess of agriculture and fertility, blessed Diana with strength drawn from the Earth spirit Gaea, making her one of the physically strongest heroes in the DC Universe and the strongest female heroine of all in the DC Universe. Pallas Athena, the goddess of wisdom and war, granted Diana great wisdom, intelligence, and military prowess. Athena’s gift has enabled Diana to master over a dozen languages (including those of alien origin), multiple complex crafts, sciences and philosophies, as well as leadership, military strategy, and armed and unarmed combat. The Eyes of the Hunter ability gives Diana a full range of enhanced senses, including telescopic vision and super hearing. Unity with Beasts grants her the ability of empathy particularly that to communicate with all forms of animal life and to calm even the most ferocious of beasts. Hermes, the messenger god of speed, granted Diana superhuman speed and the ability to fly. She is capable of flying at speeds approaching half the speed of light. She is swift enough to deflect bullets, lasers, and other projectiles with her virtually impenetrable bracelets. After the 2011 relaunch of the character, Wonder Woman does not naturally possess the power of flight. She gains it once she is hit by a feather thrown by Hermes. While not invulnerable, she is capable of withstanding great concussive force.

Aquaman Vs Namor Voting Is Closed. — November 24, 2012

Aquaman Vs Namor Voting Is Closed.

Its match 9 of round 1. You can find the results at the bottom of the page.

Here is some information about the fighters:

Aquaman:
Aquaman has a number of superhuman powers, most of which derive from the fact that he is adapted to live in the depths of the ocean. He has the ability to breathe underwater. He possesses superhuman durability high enough to remain unaffected by the immense pressure and the cold temperature of the ocean depths, this also makes him tough enough to be invulnerable to machine gun fire. He also possesses superhuman strength.[ He can swim at very high speeds, capable of reaching speeds of 10,000 feet per second and can swim up Niagara Falls. He can see in near total darkness and has enhanced hearing granting limited sonar. Although he can remain underwater indefinitely without suffering any ill effects, Aquaman grows weak if he remains on land for extended periods. However, when Batman invented Aquaman’s water suit he was able to walk on land for an indefinite amount of time and was no longer vulnerable to a “dehumidifier”.

Namor:
Namor possesses a fully amphibious physiology suited for extreme undersea pressures, superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability, flight, and longevity. Namor has the ability to survive underwater for indefinite periods, and specially developed vision which gives him the ability to see clearly in the murky depths of the ocean.Namor possesses wings on his ankles to which he attributes his power of flight. On occasions when they have been lost or badly damaged, he has experienced a loss of flying ability. He could not fly as a child, and the power only manifested when the wings developed in adolescence. Namor has the ability to swim at superhuman speeds, even by Atlantean standards. The exact level of his strength is dependent upon his physical contact with water, in which he needn’t be submerged. It has been shown as sufficient to effortlessly toss a water-filled ocean-liner, despite the underwater viscosity. His strength diminishes slowly the longer he is out of contact with water, though an extended period on land does not result in his death, as it would for a typical Atlantean, and his power is retained in full as long as he keeps himself wet. Namor also possesses superhuman stamina and resistance to injury due to his hybrid nature. Namor’s strength level is such that he has held his own in hand to hand combat with beings as powerful as the Hulk in the past.

Green Lantern Vs Nova Voting is Closed. — November 12, 2012

Green Lantern Vs Nova Voting is Closed.

Its Match 8 of Round 1! Nova wins with 17 votes beating Green Lantern on 9.

Here is a little information about the fighters.

Hal Jordan Green Lantern:
Each Green Lantern wields a power ring that can generate a variety of effects, sustained purely by the ring wearer’s imagination and strength of will. The greater the user’s willpower, the more effective the ring. The upper limits of the power ring’s abilities remain undefined, and it has been referred to as “the most powerful weapon in the universe” on more than one occasion. The Weaponers of Qward say that every weapon has a weakness and the weakness of a Green Lantern power ring is its wearer, although some argue that the wearer is its strength. Over the years, the rings have been shown capable of accomplishing almost anything within the imagination of the ring bearer.

Other abilities include
Flight, including flight at speeds beyond that of light, although this creates an enormous expenditure of energy and rendering targets invisible.

Richard Rider Nova:
Nova derives his powers from an energy source called the Nova Force which all Nova Corps Centurions wield. Nova’s small measure of the Nova Force gives him superhuman powers including flight, superhuman strength, speed, and durability, as well as the power to absorb energy directed against him and release it as gravimetric pulses and beams, either from specific parts of his body or from his entire body. Nova is a good hand-to-hand combatant. Nova wears a standard Xandarian StarCorps uniform, designed to accommodate his powers without being damaged by them. The uniform is highly resistant to damage, including outer space conditions, and is airtight. In addition, the uniform has a built-in life support function that can sustain Rider under the most extreme environmental conditions, including acting as a life-support suit by locking off the mouth and eyes of the helmet. The helmet contains a radio telescopic sights, night vision sensors, and heat imaging sensors, as well as a visual heads-up display for tracking energy signatures. Among these features are an electromagnetic discharge that can nullify gravity and access to StarGates that allow him to enter hyperspace, where he can move at velocities exceeding the speed of light.

Bane Vs She-Hulk Voting is Closed.

Its match 7 in round 1. This week its Bane Vs She-Hulk. She-Hulk wins with 19 votes and Bane loses on 7 votes.

Here is a little information about the fighters.

Bane:
Bane is highly intelligent; in Bane of the Demon, Ra’s al Ghul says that Bane “has a mind equal to the greatest he has known. In prison, he taught himself various scientific disciplines equal to the level of understanding of leading experts in those fields. He is also highly devious and a superb strategist and tactician. In prison, Bane also invented his own form of calisthenics, meditation, and a fighting style that he uses against other well-known martial arts fighters within the DC Universe. Bane creator Chuck Dixon’s early tales portray Bane as a very calm, centered warrior akin to the immortal Bruce Lee; in as much that he draws strength through calm meditation, and the spiritual energy of the “very rock of Pena Dura”. Dixon imbued Bane with an almost supernatural quality when he explained that Bane triumphed in all of his prison fights by employing these abilities, while his opponents had only rage and greed to propel them. Usage of Venom enhances his physical abilities, including his strength and healing process, to superhuman levels.

She-Hulk:
A transfusion of gamma-irradiated blood from her cousin Bruce Banner (the Hulk) granted Jennifer Walters superhuman powers. In her She-Hulk form, she possesses enormous superhuman strength, that potentially makes her, by far, the physically strongest known woman in the Marvel Universe when her emotional state is sufficiently high. Although She-Hulk’s strength originally remained at a set level and did not increase, later in her history her strength has sporadically been stated to increase further from fear, or anger, similar to her cousin. In addition the character possesses superhuman speed, agility, stamina, and reflexes. She-Hulk’s body is superhumanly durable and nearly impervious to force, pain, and disease: her skin can withstand extremes of temperature, as well as tremendous stresses and impacts without puncture wounds or lacerations. Her enhanced physiology renders her immune to all terrestrial diseases. She-Hulk also possesses a healing factor, which enabled her to completely recover, within minutes. She-Hulk is a formidable hand-to-hand combatant, having been trained by Captain America and Gamora.

Ghost Rider Vs Human Torch Voting is Closed. — October 16, 2012

Ghost Rider Vs Human Torch Voting is Closed.

Its match 6 of round 1. Ghost Rider Vs Human Torch. Voting is now over and the winner on 29 votes is Ghost Rider! The Human Torch receiving only 14 votes.

Here is some information on the fighters.

Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider:
The Ghost Rider is a human who can transform into a skeletal being with a flaming skull and supernatural powers. The motorcycles he rides can travel faster than conventional motorcycles and can perform such seemingly impossible feats such as riding up a vertical surface, across the surface of water and leaping across great distances that normal motorcycles could not match. The Ghost Riders are notoriously hard to injure by any conventional means, as bullets and knives usually pass through them without causing pain. The Ghost Riders possess superhuman strength, enough to easily pick up a truck and hurl it across a road. It has been stated that Johnny Blaze as Ghost Rider can press around 25 tons. Johnny Blaze’s Ghost Rider can cause his motorcycle to transform and surround itself with hellfire or he can create a new cycle from pure hellfire. He is also capable of projecting hellfire as a weapon. Blaze also uses a shotgun and discovered that he can discharge hellfire from the weapon. He also now has new abilities including hellfire breath and the ability to produce chains from either his throat or chest.

Human Torch:
Johnny Storm gained a number of superhuman powers as a result of the mutagenic effects of the cosmic radiation he was exposed to, all of which are related to fire. His primary power is the ability to envelop his body in fiery plasma without harm to himself, in which form he is able to fly by providing thrust behind himself with his own flame, and to generate powerful streams and/or balls of fire. He can also manipulate his flame in such a way as to shape it into rings and other forms. Even when not engulfed in flame himself, Storm has the ability to control any fire within his immediate range of vision, causing it to increase or decrease in intensity or to move in a pattern directed by his thoughts. Additionally, he is able to absorb fire/plasma into his body with no detrimental effects. He has shown the ability to detect heat signatures. The plasma field immediately surrounding his body is sufficiently hot to vaporize projectiles that approach him, including but not limited to bullets. He does not generally extend this flame-aura beyond a few inches from his skin, so as not to ignite nearby objects. Storm refers to his maximum flame output as his “nova flame,” which he can release omnidirectionally. Flame of any temperature lower than this cannot burn or harm the Torch. This “nova” effect can occur spontaneously when he absorbs an excessive amount of heat, although he can momentarily suppress the release when necessary, with considerable effort. Storm can also direct momentary beams of “nova heat” as a weapon. Storm was trained in hand-to-hand combat by the Thing, and is highly skilled in the use of his superhuman powers in combat.

Thor Vs Superman Voting is Closed. — October 7, 2012

Thor Vs Superman Voting is Closed.

Welcome to the 5th match of round 1. In our closet match yet Superman wins with 22 votes defeating Thor on 21 votes!

Here is some information about both fighters.

Thor:
Being the son of Odin and the elder goddess Gaea, Thor is physically the strongest of the Asgardians. Thor is also capable of entering into a state known as the “Warrior’s Madness” which will temporarily increase his strength and stamina tenfold, although in this state he attacks friend and foe alike. Thor possesses a very high resistance to physical injury that approaches invulnerability. Thor also possesses keen senses that allows him to track objects traveling faster than light and hear cries from the other side of the planet. Thor has the ability to travel through time. His stamina allowed him to battle the entire Frost Giant army for nine months without any sustenance or rest; Thor has also shown the ability to regenerate wounded portions of his body, including entire limbs or organs, with the aid of magical forces like Mjolnir, Thor has superhuman speed, agility, and reflexes, enabling him to deflect bullets with his hammer. Like all Asgardians he has immunity to all Earthly diseases and some resistance to magic. Thor can summon the elements of the storm like lightning, rain, wind and snow. Thor is a superb hand-to-hand combatant, and also skilled in armed combat, excelling in the use of the war hammer, sword, axe and mace. Thor possesses two items which assist him in combat: the enchanted Belt of Strength, and his mystical hammer Mjolnir. The first item doubles Thor’s strength and endurance[159] while the second is used to control his weather abilities; flight; energy projection and absorption.

Superman:
For most of his existence, Superman’s famous arsenal of powers has included flight, super-strength, invulnerability to non-magical attacks, super-speed, vision powers (including x-ray, heat-emitting, telescopic, infra-red, and microscopic vision), super-hearing, and super-breath, which enables him to blow out air at freezing temperatures, as well as exert the propulsive force of high-speed winds. Superman currently possesses enough strength to hurl mountains, withstand nuclear blasts with ease, fly into the sun unharmed, and survive in the vacuum of outer space without oxygen.

Deadpool Vs Venom Voting is Closed. — September 30, 2012

Deadpool Vs Venom Voting is Closed.

Its the last fight in group A in round 1! This match is now over.

Deadpool wins with 32 votes defeating Venom on 13 votes.

Here is some information about both fighters.

Deadpool:
Deadpool’s primary power is an accelerated healing factor. This enables him to regenerate any destroyed tissue at a super-human rate as well as making him immune to all known diseases. This allows Deadpool to recover from any and all head wounds. Deadpool’s healing factor is strong enough that he has previously survived complete incineration and decapitation more than once, though his head had to be reunited with his body to heal the wound. His healing factor also affects his physical attributes by increasing them to superhuman levels. Aside from his physical advantages, Deadpool is a superb assassin and mercenary, versed in multiple forms of martial arts, and an expert swordsman and marksman. It is thought that while his psychosis and dissociative identity disorder is a handicap, it is also one of his attributes as it makes him an extremely unpredictable opponent. Over the years, Deadpool has owned a number of personal teleportation devices. Also, during Deadpool’s first ongoing comic, he possessed a device which projected holographic disguises, allowing him to go undercover or conceal his appearance.

Venom: Aka Eddie Brock
The Venom Symbiote considerably enhances the strength of whoever has bonded with it, dependent on the bond of the relationship it has with its wearer. This allows its wearer to move at superhuman speeds and lift substantial amounts of weight, in addition to granting its host increased dexterity and agility. Retaining its memory from the time it was bonded with Spider-man, Venom is also capable of producing a limitless supply of webbing similar to Spider-man’s own variety.
